MotoGP Commission approved rule changes to the 2012 season.

Commission composed of Messrs. Carmelo Ezpeleta (Dorna, Chairman), Ignacio Verneda (FIM Executive Director, Sport), Herve Poncharal (IRTA) and Takanao Tsubouchi (MSMA) in the presence of Javier Alonso (Dorna), Mike Trimby (IRTA) and Paul Butler (Secretary of the meeting), in its meeting held on 14 December in Madrid.

The rule is that the contracted riders in the MotoGP class can also test the machine using the allocation of 240 tires are available for each manufacturer teams Previously such testing is limited to test riders only. An entry list of the MotoGP class for 2012 is considered by the Commission. The list contained nine entries plus one spare CRT entries using machines of various types. Participation of all entries CRT approved by the Commission on the understanding that the administration of the CRT status is reviewed by the Commission of the Grand Prix at any time
